A Winter Cheer Elf’s job is clear: from the fall solstice until spring, we are to spread as much cheer as possible. There are plenty of opportunities to do so, from small things such as providing free hot cocoa with marshmallows where people are enjoying sledding and ice skating to big ones, such as ensuring winter holidays go off without a hitch.

I take my job seriously, but when my cousin Kristianos railed about a letter addressed to Santa being more suited to those doing Cupid duty later, I needed to know more. By the New Year, I had my answer. Come Valentine’s Day, I knew I was lost. Will spring blossom into our happily ever after?

Wanted: A Mommy for Christmas is a super cute novella Krissie is a winter elf who see’s a letter from a little girl asking that her dad get a wife for Christmas. In the super sweet letter he sounds too good to be true so Krissie goes to investigate intending to hand him off to cupid elves. Things don’t go as planned though which makes this story a ton of fun. I like their “punishments” when getting in trouble and Krissie’s mode of transportation. This is a sweet book to curl up and read or listen to on Christmas-y afternoon.
