Review: Pretend You’re Mine by Crystal Kaswell

Synopsis:
I’m pretending I’m in love with my best friend. What could possibly go wrong?

Leighton is my best friend. My subordinate.
My girlfriend.
That’s the story we’re selling. To our co-workers. To our friends. To everyone who’s anticipating the breakdown of the year at my ex’s wedding.
It’s a terrible idea. This ruse is going to f*ck sh*t up. Losing her is out of the question.
Touching her is all kinds of wrong.
And right deep in my bones.
Then Leighton slides her hands into my hair and presses her berry lips to mine.
And all that wrong fades to right.
I stop pretending.
I forget about the woman who broke my heart. I forget about our rules. I forget I’ll be lost without her.
I kiss her back like I’ll never get enough.
I won’t.
But I can’t risk losing my best friend.
Even if she’s the woman who might finally unlock my heart.

From the author: Pretend You’re Mine is a full-length, standalone romance with a pretend girlfriend theme. Come see why readers say “no one writes broken bad boys like Crystal Kaswell.”

5/5

I love this series! Leighton has always been awesome but Ryan. OMG No wonder Leighton has the hots for him. He’s sweet, funny, and sexy as sin. The mix of characters and personalities in this series is amazing. I also love getting glimpses of the previous couples. Pretend You’re Mine is an excellent addition to the Inked Hearts Series and I absolutely cannot wait for Dean to fall hard.

I received an advanced copy of this book for free from the author. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Favorite Quotes:

  • If you look tired, people worry. If you look alert and rested, people believe it when you say I’m fine. If you look tough and untouchable, people don’t bother to ask questions.
  • How can he choose her over me if he doesn’t know I’m an option?
  • I press my lips to hers. Soak up every ounce of her need. Hone in on evrey place she hurts. I wasn’t to be her salve. The key that unlocks her. The puzzle piece that makes everything click together.
