As yet another year comes to a close it’s time to reflect on this past year and the upcoming year. This year has been full of personal ups and down and a bit of ridiculous family drama.
One of the ups included meeting my nephew for the first time when my brother-in-law and family came to visit. He is so freaking cute and quite the ball of energy.
In September the hubby and I went on vacation to Cabo…but came home early due to an impending hurricane.
I’m not ready to share the biggest down but it is life-changing. And while it’s not surprising it is frustrating.
On a brighter note, the hubby and I are starting to write the first book in a RomCom series. This has been a fun project that we’ve been working on/talking about for a while. I’m several chapters in and it’s coming along. Watch for my announcement of needing beta and/or advanced readers.
On a bookish note, I feel as if this blog is taking off. Throughout the year I’ve added several new features, including the addition of (almost) daily freebies, a page about books that I didn’t finish (although I feel bad b/c there is only one book right now – the only book I haven’t finished, just the most recent one), and I’ve joined several blogging groups which gives my site more content. What do you like? Dislike? Want to see more of in the future?
How many books did you read in 2017? According to my Goodreads page I’ve read 114 books. That’s quite a few, especially since I still work full time and work several evenings and most Saturdays at our nonprofit. I try to make time everyday to read. It’s my stress reliever. I’ve discovered some new, and new-to-me, authors that I’ve really enjoyed reading. Who are some of the new/new-to-you authors you discovered in 2017?
May your 2018 be safe, happy, and healthy. I look forward to bringing you more content.
