Review: A Fierce Princess by S.E. Rose

Category : Reviews

One Princess. Two Lives. And a sinister secret that will change her world forever.

Princesses are supposed to be polite and poised. Princesses are supposed to put duty before self. Princesses are not supposed to live double lives.

Princess Susanna’s search to find her mother’s cherished crown that went missing the day she was killed is about to lead her on a quest to stop an assassin from killing a man. Only this isn’t any man, this man is a prince, a prince that has no idea that he’s royalty.

What happens when a princess attempts to save a prince? Can she keep him alive? Can she keep herself from falling for him?

My Review:
Title: A Fierce Princess
Author: S.E. Rose
Format: Ebook
Genre: Romance – suspense, royalty
Standalone: Nope Ends on quite the cliffhanger
Part of a Series: Book 1 of the Poisoned Pawn duet
POV: Anna
Steam Level: Slow burn to steamy

Despite the fact that A Fierce Princess has a major cliffhanger I really enjoyed this book. I went in knowing that it would probably end this way, since it’s part one of a duet. This is the first book that I’ve read by S.E. Rose and it was amazing. I was sucked in from the start. I loved Anna’s relationship with her brothers and her father and later Logan. I usually figure out mysteries pretty quickly but with this book/duet I have no clue who is trying to kill Logan. Anna is my favorite type of heroine – smart, funny, independent but still is able to ask for help when things get out of control. I love Auggie and Chris and I would love to dive further into their stories as well. I cannot wait to read the next installment of this duet.

I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Favorite Quote:

“Anna, why do I think that you might be the death of me?” he asks.  I gring, “Why are people always asking me that?” I say in my most innocent voice.
