Audiobook Review: Look Alive Twenty-Five by Janet Evanovich

Synopsis:
Stephanie Plum faces the toughest puzzle of her career in the twenty-fifth entry in Janet Evanovich’s #1 New York Times-bestselling series.

There’s nothing like a good deli, and the Red River Deli in Trenton is one of the best. World-famous for its pastrami, cole slaw, and for its disappearing managers. Over the last month, three have vanished from the face of the earth, and the only clue in each case is one shoe that’s been left behind. The police are baffled. Lula is convinced that it’s a case of alien abduction. Whatever it is, they’d better figure out what’s going on before they lose their new manager, Ms. Stephanie Plum.

My Review:
Title: Look Alive Twenty-Five
Author: Janet Evanovich
Format: Audio
Narrator: Lorelie King
Genre: Romantic Suspense, mystery, thriller
Standalone: Not really – Ends on a cliffhanger
Part of a Series: Yes Book 25 of the Stephanie Plum series
POV: Stephanie
Steam Level: Some sexual humor, kissing, fade to black
3/5

I’ll be honest and say I liked this book until the end – which leaves you hanging. This book would have been a 4-star read if not for the ending. There were several fun elements to this book including Ranger’s security system for his car – which makes up for her’s not being destroyed, Stephanie’s thoughts about what constitutes cheating, and Morelli and Ranger’s shared Stephanie protective detail. In true, Evanovich style, the overarching mystery was fun and unique and the characters memorable.
