I’m a designer, author, wife, and dog-lover splitting my time between Southern California and the Pacific Northwest. For 18 years I’ve designed visual worlds where stories are told in film and television, garnering an Emmy nomination and a rewarding career under my maiden name Amy Lee Wheeler.

​Because I love to juggle and keep life challenging, I’ve devoted my unique perspective to writing novels for the last five years too. My books of love and danger tell stories of women facing a crossroads in their life that require great strength and tough choices. These stories are grounded in reality with sophisticated plots and a fast pace.

I have a BFA in Film Production from the Academy of Art University of San Francisco and continue to hone my writing craft with classes, workshops, and peer groups regularly. Each script I design or book I write takes me through an adventure of research and learning that I hope to share with an eager audience.
