Loaded is/was the only (Romance) book of Roxie Noir’s that I didn’t own/haven’t read. When I found out that she was editing/adding to it I jumped at the chance to read it and I’m so glad that I did. Loaded was fun, sexy, and thrilling. It’s the story of Tessa and Alex who fall for each other in the most extreme circumstances.
Tessa is my favorite type of heroine. She’s smart and sassy and keep Alex on his toes. Alex is a sexy alpha-male who will stop at nothing to protect her. Violent in life but not to her, never to her. He also doesn’t like violence against women. He has to take a stance on something in his killed or be killed world. Tessa and Alex’s story is boiling hot and emotional. They learn to judge a book by its contents, not cover.
If you haven’t read Roxie Noir and love hard core sex and foul mouthed characters who cannot keep their hands off of each other – even when running for their lives then Loaded is definitely a book to pick up. It’s a great mix of story, suspense, steam and sass with a guaranteed HEA.
