Review: Love and Wargames by Tabatha Kiss

Review: Love and Wargames by Tabatha Kiss

Synopsis:
BOXCAR

We got married two years ago.
I haven’t seen her since.

We met in Afghanistan. She was a soldier. I was a geek with a laptop.
I never thought I stood a chance but a few secret trysts together proved otherwise.

Tragedy struck and it tore us apart but I never stopped loving her.

Now, Snake Eyes is looking for me and they sent two of their best assassins to track me down.
There’s only one person I can trust to keep me safe and she hates my guts.

Caleb Fawn. My estranged wife.
This should be fun.

CALEB

I don’t believe in second chances.
But this is Boxcar we’re talking about here.

We met in Afghanistan. He was a smart-ass. I was his bodyguard.
I wanted to keep it professional but just one look in his eyes was enough to melt my damn panties off.

It couldn’t last. Being a soldier comes with a price and I wasn’t about to let him pay it.

Now, Snake Eyes wants what he’s got and they’ll get it unless I help him.
The only problem is that the two of us can’t be in the same room together without screaming at each other or tearing our clothes off. Sometimes both.

Boxcar. My idiot husband.
This should be a disaster.

Love and Wargames is a stand-alone romantic suspense novel. It contains violence, lots of steam, and is intended for adults only.
This is Book 3 of the Snake Eyes series. While it is not required to read the series in order of release, it is highly recommended to experience the full effect of Snake Eyes!

The Snake Eyes Series: Stand-alone Romances. Interconnecting Stories. One Unforgettable Adventure.

My Review:
Genre: Romance – action, suspense
Stand-Alone: Yes
Part of a Series – Yes Book 3 of the Snake Eyes Series.  You don’t need to read books 1 and 2 but it’s better If you do
POV: Alternating Caleb and Boxcar
Steam level: Pretty Toasty
5/5

In this the third book of Tabitha Kiss’s Snake Eyes series we revisit Caleb and Boxcar who we met, separately, in Bodyguard, book 1 of this series.  Alternating between present day and two years when they first met in Afghanistan, we see their relationship developing (bonus, we also get to know Fox before he was recruited into Snake Eyes.) We also meet The Boss and have an encounter with the Hart twins from book two.  The world-building and story-development in this series is amazing! Kiss does a fabulous job in keeping me enthralled and glued to my kindle. Although you don’t need to read the first two books in this series to follow along – I highly recommend you do! I cannot wait to read what comes up next in this series .

I received this book for free from the author and I’m voluntarily giving an honest review.
