I am the shadow that haunts the night. I am a hunter, a protector…a force for good…I am Jonas Castillo.
And now that she’s mine, I’m never letting her go.
If only she would let me protect her…Seeing the fear in her eyes, makes me want to do the one thing I’ve vowed never to do again… kill.
But I’ll do anything to protect what’s mine.
** The finale of The FORCE Duet. You must read Book 1, Force before reading Enforce.
The Shameless Trilogy
The Force Duet
Genre: Romance – Suspense, military
Stand-Alone: No – Read Force first
Part of a Series: Yes Book 2 (of 2) of the Force Duet featuring characters from the Shameless Trilogy (which you don’t need to read first but to get further enjoyment of the Force Duet you probably should)
POV: JJ and Jonas
Steam Level: Burning Hot
Enforce picks up right where Force left off. The game of cat and mouse heats up with JJ’s ex David playing a twisted game of hide and seek with JJ and the guys. The tension built quickly and kept me on the edge of my seat. A few times I had to put the book down and take a break from reading in order to decompress. M. Malone and Nana Malone also use humor and sex (and sometimes sex humor) to relieve some of the tension as well.
If you’re sensitive to steam, then this isn’t the book for you. Also, the topic it deals with (domestic violence) can be a trigger to some readers. The Malone Squared writers deal with guilt and fear in such a way that you get sucked in. It’s visceral and honest which makes it downright scary at times.
Overall a fantastic book that’s not for the faint of heart. If you’re looking for a sexy romantic suspense with alpha males and sassy females then the Force Duet is definitely for you. I look forward to reading more of these guys and seeing more of JJ and Jonas’ HEA.
I received an advanced copy of this book for free from the author. This is my honest and voluntary review.
- “What are the chances if I parked the car and asked you to sit here, that you’ll listen?” “Probably about as high as you letting me cut off your dick and letting me carry it around in my purse.”
- “I swear to God. You women might be more trouble than you’re worth,” “Said every man eve, but still all you boys keep com to the yard don’t you” “Ain’t that the truth?”
- Juggling the egos of all these alpha males was like tap dancing around dynamite.
- Sometimes when things in life were shitty, all you could do was grab onto anything good. And this was good.
