From RWA RITA® award-winning and USA Today bestselling author Angela Quarles comes this Scottish time travel romance adventure. What if your husband turns out to be the man sent to kill your ancestor?
A choice to make…
Highland Games fanatic Fiona Campbell believes her only value is her family’s history, myths, and legends. So when she travels back to 1689 Scotland and discovers she’s the Fiona of family legend, you’d think she’d be excited. And she is. Except that the legendary warrior she’s to save her ancestor from is the hottie in a kilt she just handfasted.
A heart to heal…
Duncan MacCowan once trusted his heart to the wrong woman, but when a strange lass drops into his life and pries opens his heart again, he impulsively handfasts her. Yet before he can finish spinning fancies of their domestic bliss, she flees on the night of their wedding, leaving him even more convinced that he can’t trust his instincts where his heart is involved.
A family legend that will tear them apart
Fiona wants to shake her fist at Fate–she finally meets the man of her dreams but can’t have him because of the family legend? Not cool, Fate, not cool. Duncan believes he’s just terrible at picking women and destined to be alone. But as the heat of their attraction flares, how far can they tempt Fate for love?

Having not read Must Love Kilts I was a hesitant to start Must Love More Kilts after reading that this book starts after that one ends and features some of the same characters. However after only a few pages I was hooked and had no problem keeping up/figuring out the important stuff and focusing on the relevant for details for this story, which I enjoyed quite a bit.
Duncan is the strong, silent type – only speaking when necessary and to the point. He’s been hurt in the past and has a hard time opening up to others. Fiona is tiny but mighty with one goal – fulfilling her role in her family’s history – namely stopping Duncan from killing her ancestor (and also her). Together they learn to love and trust each other.
I liked how the author address the timeline issues faced. The explanation sounded both smart and plausible but wasn’t too scientific. Tension is created and further mounts since we know that Fiona succeeds (she is alive) but we don’t know what happens with Duncan. We don’t know how Fiona stops him. We don’t know if their marriage can survive Heck, we didn’t even know they were married. (The legend missed that tiny detail.)
Must Love More Kilts was a great mix of suspense, historical, fantasy (time travel), adventure and sexy Scottish highlanders. It was funny, sweet and sexy and transported me to another time and place. I definitely want to read the rest of this series.
I received an advanced copy of this book for free from the author. This is my honest and voluntary review.
- “It’s in the past. What we do now matters.” “Traci, we’re living in the past.” “Yeah, but it’s my present now.” “That makes no sense.”
- He was huge. Well, anyone was huge compared to her, but this guy was legit tall, with powerful muscles.
- She looked so wee next to the dominating four-poster, be her size belied her toughness…Aye, she was a fine wife for a warrior.
