I really like both Samantha Lind and this Indianapolis Eagles series. Samantha Lind’s writing is refreshing in that she writes about adults, adulting in adult relationships. There’s no excess drama – just life and communication. Protecting Her Heart is no exception. Laura has been hurt in the past and Mark is not only willing to wait for her to be ready for a new relationship – with him. The characters are sweet, caring and relatable. If you’re looking for something that keeps you on the edge of your seat or play the will they, won’t they game, then this isn’t for you. However, if you want a sweet but sexy read that is engrossing and realistic then definitely pick up Protecting Her Heart by Samantha Lind. My only real complaint is that I wanted to see more of Laura and Mark’s HEA.. However, i know I’ll see it in the next book so not too disappointed.
