Review: Mission Impossible to Surrender by Jacki Delecki

Synopsis:
Navy SEAL Finn Jenkins will do whatever it takes to protect beautiful Sophie Dean, no matter the risk to his own life…or heart.

She’s not a party girl anymore…
Sophie Dean has worked long and hard to shed the rock-n-roll bad girl reputation she earned at college. With her rebellious days behind her, Sophie now uses the prestige of the Dean family name and money to bankroll humanitarian aid. The only part of her past she can’t leave behind is the major crush she has on Finn Jenkins. When danger from an unknown quarter threatens Sophie’s mission and she needs protection, fate steps in and delivers a second chance with Finn.

He’s the right man but she’s the wrong woman…
What started out as a childhood friendship grew into an attraction that would have meant nothing but trouble for straight-laced Finn Jenkins and Sophie Dean, a daddy’s girl who liked to party with rock stars. When Finn returns home to Seattle after two tours of duty as a Navy SEAL, it doesn’t take long to realize he still has feelings for Sophie, who is no longer the impulsive, irresponsible young woman he walked away from all those years ago.

If they survive the danger surrounding them, they might get a second chance at love…

Mission: Impossible to Surrender

My Review:
Genre: Romantic suspense- military, friends to lovers
Standalone: yes
Part of a Series: Yes book 2
POV: mostly Sophie and Finn
Steam Level: steamy
4/5

This is the first book I’ve read by Jacki Delecki and probably won’t be the lady. Mission Impossible to Surrender was a fun mix of alpha male and the feisty heroine who challenges him. I loved the interactions between the brothers and how it differed with Finn and Sophie’s interactions. This book kept me on the edge of my seat with several twists I didn’t see coming.

I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Favorite Quotes:

  • Finn added more hot sauce to his oysters. If his body was flaming like the fires of hell, he might as well burn everywhere.
  • The wounds will heal but the scars will never fade.
