Review: Shamrock by Janie Crouch
Category : Reviews
Aiden has never left anyone behind. Not a comrade and certainly not an innocent. But when an undercover mission goes wrong, he’s forced to abandon a woman trapped in a human trafficking ring.
Violet learned brutally that no one is promised a happy ending. She knows Aiden blames himself for his part, but she refuses to let her abduction define the rest of her life.
She won’t be a victim again. And she’s going after what she wants: Aiden.
Watching Violet transform herself into a fierce warrior is the sexiest thing Aiden has ever seen. The honorable plan would be to stay away from her—let her heal and grow without the shadow of his mistakes clouding her progress—even though every instinct tells him to claim her for his own.
But when they discover the danger they thought they’d left behind is closer than ever, they’ll have to confront their fears and fight side-by-side in order to survive.
***SHAMROCK is a stand-alone steamy romantic suspense, set in the LINEAR TACTICAL series. Meet the former military men of Linear Tactical, and the women who bring them to their knees:The strongest fall the hardest.***
A “less-steamy” version of this book (same great story but with toned down language and sensual scenes) is available on Janie’s website ~ If you like the heat level of Janie’s Harlequin Intrigue books, you’ll love the “less-steamy” version!
Genre: Romance – Suspense, military
Standalone: Yes (mostly, I suggest Book 2 Cyclone first as it introduces the terrorist organization and you get to see Aiden when he first meets Violet)
Part of a Series: Yes book 3 of the Linear Tactical Series. You don’t need to have read the first two but it’s even better if you have
POV: Aiden and Violet
Steam Level: warm
I love this series. Each book gets better and better. I adore the guys and their relationship with each other. I love the strong heroines I guessed who the bad guy was which isn’t uncommon for me but nonetheless I enjoyed how everything played out. Janie Crouch does an excellent job in creating strong and resilient characters, both female and male and turning roles on their head. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!
I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
- We’re not all guaranteed one day. So I decided to make now that day.
- Smart was fucking sexy. And she was definitely the smartest person he knew.
- Violet Collingsworth would always have scars from her kidnapping; they just wouldn’t be visible from the outside. Some those were the worst kind.
- Just because your strength is quieter then hers doesn’t mean it’s not just as fierce.
- Just because you couldn’t change what was pas didn’t mean you couldn’t make sure it didn’t happen again the same damn way.
- You never know how strong you are until strong is the only choice you have.
