Review: Secret Love by Tabatha Drake

Synopsis:
“I don’t belong in your world,” he says. “I never have.”

Fox Fitzpatrick crept into my life like a storm and destroyed everything he touched.

Before I knew it, he was gone. I’m not sure what I miss more: his forbidden smile or my stolen innocence.

I’ve done my best to move on and forget the past.
But Fox’s past has come back to claim a debt… from me.

Blood and scars. Secrets and lies.
It would be a mistake to give myself to him all over again.
Every kiss could mean my undoing, but my heart is the only thing holding him back from darkness.

Fox Fitzpatrick crept into my life like a storm and destroyed everything he touched.
And this time, only one of us can survive.

5/5

Secret Love is the second book of the Killer Love series by Tabatha Drake. Previously published as Bodyguard in the Snake Eyes series by Tabatha Drake’s alter-ego Tabatha Kiss. Bodyguard was the second book I’d ever read by Tabatha Kiss so I did not pick up on the gems she placed from her Tabbiverse throughout. Secret Love is expanded and even better than when I read Bodyguard. I love the new order and cannot wait for Dante and Lucy’s story. Tabatha Drake is a master tease – using the last chapter to tease us with the next couple.
Secret Love was action-packed, keeping me on the edge of my seat. Tabatha Drake did a fantastic job using humor to break up some of the more intense scenes. I loved the witty banter between characters, the devotion of Fox to Dani and the unexpected heros. If you’re looking for an epic adventure full of love and humor from the most unlikely assassins then look no further. Pick up this series reboot today. It’s better than the original which was pretty amazing (and one of my favorites) in the first place.

I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
