Synopsis:

But Alex starts to call. And text. And email and send extravagant—and quirky—gifts. Suddenly, he’s too difficult to ignore, and nearly impossible not to like.
The problem is, the media portrays Alex as a total player, and Violet doesn’t want to be part of the game.

I’ve forgotten how hilarious Helena Hunting is. I’ve read (and giggled through) her Shacking Up series and have heard how ridiculously funny the Pucked Series is and I have to say that it’s true. I was dying throughout this story. The problem: I was listening to it at work so trying (unsuccessfully) to stifle my giggles. Violet and her lack of filter was outrageously funny and Alex’s inner nerd that came out at unexpected times were riot. This was a great book and, overall, was an awesome listen. My only complaint was that the Canadian accent for Alex was a bit over the top and distracting at times. However, if you can get past that (which I could) then I highly recommend this book. Use caution when listening in public through because it’s definitely not for younger ears and you’ll look like a loon laughing your heart out.
