When I was a kid, my dad was the gardener for the richest man in town. His daughter, Lily Barnes, told me she could never like a guy like me. Then she kissed me and told me it would never happen again. When it happened again, she told me she could never love me because she was going to leave this place, and I would never leave my dad.
We were never quite friends, not exactly enemies, and we could never quite stop secretly kissing each other.

The more I read Kayley Loring, the more I like her writing. Lily left her home and her love to follow a dream and now she’s back with her tail between her legs to work for her father’s company. The only problem – that love she left is now her boss. The fireworks fly in this funny, sweet and sexy book that will have me coming Back For More of Kayley Loring’s books. This could have been angsty and dramatic but it wasn’t, which is nice. I loved the interplay between Lily and Wes and how they understood each other and the other’s coping mechanisms when scared. The banter was great and I loved these characters.
