Review: Love Block by S.M. West

Review: Love Block by S.M. West

Synopsis:
I’m screwed.
Pippa just showed up uninvited with plans of staying the weekend.
I can hardly handle an hour with her, let alone two days.
Despite more than a year of dodging her, nothing has changed.
She’s the only woman I want.
Smart and sexy and bold.
My best friend’s little sister.
Forbidden.
Denying my desire for her is torture.
And she doesn’t make it easy; she wants me too.
The thing is, making her mine means ruining my best friend.

My Review:
Title: Love Block
Author: S.M. West
Format: Ebook
Genre: Romance Best friend’s sister
Standalone: Not really
Part of a Series: Yes Book 1 of the Love Lock Duet
POV: Drew and Pippa
Steam Level: Slow burn to toasty
4/5

Love Block is the first book of the Love Lock Duet. As a general rule I usually dislike cliffhangers. However, S.M. West did a great job on the ending of Love Block. I like where it ended, like I could read, or not, Love Lock. I am looking forward to reading Love Lock and seeing how Drew and Pippa’s story plays out.

I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Favorite Quotes:

  • I’m an ass man, and Pippa’s ass is the kind poets write sonnets about. Men would fall to their kneeds willing to give their left nut to squeeze her sumptuous behind.
  • I want to be his family, but not in a “we’re stuck together” kind of way. I want him to choose me.
