My Review:
Title: Distracted
Author: A.K. Evans
Format: ebook
Genre: Romantic suspense, Military, Private Security, Bodyguard
Standalone: yes
Part of a Series: Book 7 of Harper Security Ops
POV: Ellery, Kane
Steam Level: Slow burn to steamy
4/5
Ellery is on the run from her husband. I love that she was a meticulous planner and was smart about running. Part of Ellery’s escape plan was to learn to defend herself which is where/how she met Kane. I loved that she continued her lessons even after Kane started protecting her. And that the reason for running from different from the norm. I really liked this book and despite it being the seventh in the series I didn’t feel lost. Although I definitely have the rest of this series on my wish list now. I was to know all the stories. I love romantic suspense in general (I grew up reading mystery/thriller novels so it’s my jam) and I especially love the romantic suspense stories where I don’t know what will happen. Distracted kept me reading with no clue what was going to happen next.
I received an advanced copy of this book for free. This is my honest and voluntary review.

- There was a threat of certain doom surrounding me, and yet, I was here feeling tingles between my legs for the first time in my life, because a decent guy grinned at me.
- I hadn’t anticipated finding Kane when I came to Steel Ridge, but I did. And now that I’d had him in my life for sevearl weeks now, I wasn’t sure I’d ever want to return to a life without him in it.
