Review: An Armored Heart by RC Boldt

Synopsis:

RULE #1: Do not catch feelings for the man who doesn’t believe in love.

Four months. That’s how long I have to pretend to be Steele Cunningham’s doting girlfriend.

I agreed to this insanity only to save my restaurant. He’s doing it because he needs someone outside his “social circle” to stick it to his meddling parents and clingy ex.

Ruthless and emotionless in both his personal life and his career, Steele’s ego rivals his net worth.

Operating on joy and positivity—and a healthy bit of feistiness—I challenge him at every step.

He’s a tin man—heartless and cold. Falling for him would be a colossal mistake, because there’s no chance he’ll ever love me.

He can’t.

After all, he’s the man with an armored heart.

My Review:

Title: An Armored Heart
Author: RC. Boldt
Format: Ebook
Genre: Romance, Face Relationship, Grumpy/Sunshine, Enemies to Lovers
Standalone: yes
Part of a Series; No
POV: Ella, Steele
Steam Level: Slow Burn to steamy
4/5

Ella will do anything to save her restaurant, including fake dating the guy who bought it. Unfortunately under all Steels’ gruff exterior, Ella gets glimpses of a likeable man. Ella is strong-willed, outspoken and willing to fight for what she wants – exactly the type of woman Steele’s family with hate. I loved both the clashes and the chemistry between Ella and Steele. RC Boldt writes amazing female characters – strong, funny and smart. I knew I was in for a treat with An Armored Heart and I wasn’t disappointed. I smiled throughout and would love books about some of the side-characters.

I received an advanced copy of this book for free. This is my honest and voluntary review.
