Review: Drunk Girl by Samantha Lind

Review: Drunk Girl by Samantha Lind

Synopsis:
NICK
Beautiful, broken, and abandoned.
The second I see her in my bar,
With cover charge stamps plastering her hands,
I know what I have to do.

Take her home,
Get her into bed,
Where I know she’ll be safe.

I do exactly that.
Leaving her keys and my number,
As I lock the door behind me.

She deserves more,
So much more.

ASHLEY
Shattered, vulnerable, and alone,
Trapped in a lifetime of hurt,
Trying to break the cycle.

But he came in,
Saved me,
From myself,
From my circumstances.

Showing me compassion,
And respect.
Proving I am so much more.

More than just a pathetic drunk girl.

My Review:
Title: Drunk Girl
Author: Samantha Lind
Format: Ebook
Genre: Romance
Standalone: Yes
Part of Series: Yes Book 2 of the Lyrics and Love Series
POV: Nick and Ashley
Steam Level: Slow Burn
4/5

Drunk Girl is a quick read with a not so subtle message about how men should treat women with respect. Although the second book in the series, Drunk Girl takes place in a different state with entirely different characters. As a fan of Samantha Lind I enjoyed the mention of the Indianapolis Eagles and their fight for the Stanley Cup.

Drunk Girl features Samantha Lind’s telltale lack of angst just for the sake of it. However, the characters have gone through their own trials and are stronger for it. Ashley, especially, has dealt with more than her fair share of s**t in her life.

Overall Drunk Girl is a fun read with supportive and loving characters. If you’re looking for a feel good romance that’s both sweet and sexy then look no further. This is the book for you.

I received an advance copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.

  • Sometimes, when you meet the one, you just have to go with it. You can’t always explain it, but don’t fight it.
  • You need to love yourself more than I love you, or anyone else loves you….If you don’t love yourself, then you’ll never be able to accept someone else’s love for you.
